About
High quality, fast delivery, low prices
Here at Windmill Down Press, we know that printed music isn’t cheap. For a lot of ensembles, especially amateur groups, prices are rising faster than income. A chunk of that price, of course, ensures that the people who produce the music - composers, arrangers, typesetters, proofreaders - are paid fairly for their work. But in traditional publishing, some of it has to pay for other costs such as printing and storage.
Times have changed, however. Most of us now have access to good quality printing at very reasonable prices in our own homes or offices. Some of us aren’t printing music on paper at all, but instead reading it from tablet screens. So we have changed as well. We focus on digital delivery.
This enables us to keep our prices low, and deliver fast. When you buy our music, your files are available almost instantly. You can print them, or read them on screen, or a mixture of both.
We firmly believe, however, that low prices shouldn’t mean you have to compromise on quality. Our aim is that all of our music - every copy of every part - should be error-free. Even so, mistakes do happen; so if you find something in one of our pieces that you think might be an error, please contact us and let us know.
